DMCA Policy
Copyright takedown and counter-notice process
What You Can Report
If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on one), you may report any text, tool content, or page on fontgenio.com that you believe infringes your copyrighted work. We review valid notices and remove or disable access to the reported material.
Elements of a Valid DMCA Notice
To be valid under the DMCA, your takedown notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
- Identification of the infringing material and the URL where it appears on fontgenio.com, so we can locate it.
- Your contact information — name, address, and email address.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, together with your physical or electronic signature.
Notices missing any of these elements may not be processed. Misrepresenting that material is infringing can carry liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
Counter-Notice
If your material was removed or disabled because of a takedown notice and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@fontgenio.com including: identification of the removed material and its former URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, your name and address, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and your physical or electronic signature. We may restore the material 10–14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice, unless the original complainant files a court action.
